About the GT Materials Society

We aim to.... link students to the professional materials societies and raise awareness and involvement about opportunities open to students. The GT Materials Society typically meets several times a semester (dates are announced later) for FUN. Members should also join Materials Advantage. Your commitments are up to you. First Meeting of the Semester

The Materials Society at Georgia Tech (previously called the MSE Umbrella Society) is holding its first meeting on Tuesday, September 8 at 11am in Love 185. This will be an opportunity for students to network with other students, learn about the materials societies included in a Material Advantage membership, upcoming conferences and events.

David Morrison, chair of the Atlanta ASM chapter, will discuss what events the chapter sponsors, opportunities for student involvement, and his professional work. In addition, grad students will answer questions related to graduate school applications and other MSE or GT related questions. And, of course, we will have free pizza!

Hope to see everyone there!

I think there may be a mistake for the signed dates (title) of the two upcoming events.
